Green Wrythe Primary
The school commissioned a new logo. I was given following the brief from the head teacher, which was to have a badge with two main elements, firstly a tree to represent growth, maturity and a Rainbow for the department for autism to represent the ASD spectrum. I started with a spider diagram using the words Green and Wrythe, Wrythe is an Anglo-Saxon word for a small valley with a stream. I used this as my starting point and produce lots of thumbs nail sketches to show the leadership team. They picked the design I have now which I produced with a tree, a custom made background and rainbow. My finished logo has been applied to all school literature and apparel for example polo shirts, coats, book bags and PE bags. Sadly I do not have the original thumbnail designs but I am extremely proud of this design the fields, trees and rainbow are clean and well defined. The sunrise evokes a fresh start to every day.
